The future of Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has been open to plenty of speculation this summer.
After performing brilliantly for France at Euro 2016 it soon became apparent that the dynamic midfielder would not be sticking around following Newcastle’s relegation to the Championship at the end of the last campaign.

The player himself has now been speaking to L’Equipe about his future.
He admitted he wanted to leave for a ‘really big club’ this summer and that he had told Rafa Benitez of this fact – with Real Madrid getting a special mention.
But he did not shut the door on potentially remaining in the Premier League, admitting that he loves playing in England and it is the league that best suits his style of play:
"The Premier League is the Championship which best suits my game, that's the one I find most of my goals. But I remain open to all."
SIssoko has been linked with some Premier League teams this summer – including Crystal Palace – however he is also keen on playing Champions League football next term and it will be interesting to see whether any of the top four from last season are in fact interested in signing Sissoko.
But for now it looks more likely than not that Sissoko will be heading abroad.
