Rangers drew 1-1 with Hamilton Academical.
The Gers finally made their return to the top-flight after a four-year absence, yet it was an occasion of mixed emotions as they came back from a goal down to draw level but couldn’t pick up all three points.
Hamilton took the lead through Alistair Crawford somewhat against the run of play, and it took Rangers more than 30 minutes to find an equaliser as Martyn Waghorn opened his account for the season with a neat finish.

It may take time for Rangers to adjust to being back in the top-flight, but there were undoubtedly some positives to be had from the game and Warburton will be eager to move straight on to the next one.
Gers face Peterhead in the League Cup round of 16 on Tuesday before travelling to Dundee next weekend in what will be their first Scottish Premiership away game of the season.
