Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that Vincent Janssen is very strong.
Kane and Janssen featured in Tottenham’s pre-season friendly match against Inter Milan on Friday.
The England international striker scored twice for Spurs in their 6-1 victory over the Italian giants.
Janssen, who is 22 years of age and also plays as a striker, etched his name on the Spurs scoresheet as well.
Kane, a year older than his new striker partner, has praised his new Tottenham teammate and has outlined his attributes.
“He’s a great player,” Kane is quoted as saying by Tottenham’s official Twitter page about Janssen. “He likes to hold the ball up and bring other players into the game.
“I am sure we will play together this season. You can see he is very strong, he has got a good finish when he gets the chance. He is a great addition to the squad, as both signings have been.”
Janssen joined Tottenham from Dutch club AZ Alkmaar in the summer transfer window.
According to The Guardian, the North London outfit had to pay a transfer fee of £17 million in order to secure the services of the Netherlands international striker.
Janssen scored 27 goals and created 56 chances in 34 Eredivisie matches for AZ during the 2015-16 season.
The 22-year-old had a pass accuracy of 73% and a shot accuracy of 55%, and won 21 headers, 35 dribbles and 21 tackles, according to Squawka.
