Confirmed Liverpool line-up v Barcelona: Wijnaldum starts, Sturridge left out as precaution

Liverpool take on Barcelona in the International Champions Cup this evening.

Liverpool starting line-up: Mignolet; Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner; Can, Wijnaldum; Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino; Mane.

Liverpool substitutes: Manninger, Henderson, Grujic, Moreno, Brannagan, Origi, Ings, Matip, Stewart, Wisdom, Markovic, Randall, Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool take on Barcelona at Wembley Stadium in their final game of the International Champions Cup this evening, in their penultimate pre-season game.

The Reds lost 2-1 to Roma in midweek, and will be hoping to beat Barcelona ahead of their game against Bundesliga side Mainz on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp's side face a trip to Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, and the German has named a strong side today, which could be a nod to the team we'll see at the Emirates Stadium.

With Loris Karius out injured, Simon Mignolet is in goal, whilst midfielder James Milner again plays at left back rather than natural left back Alberto Moreno, who is left on the bench.

Georginio Wijnaldum partners Emre Can in midfield, whilst a front four of Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane looks like a dangerous proposition - though Daniel Sturridge is left out entirely as a precaution having suffered a hip injury.

Summer signings Alex Manninger and Joel Matip are both on the bench, whilst the likes of Marko Grujic, Jordan Henderson, Divock Origi, Danny Ings and Lazar Markovic are also available as substitutes this evening.

It promises to be a stern test for Klopp's men, against the La Liga champions, but a win at Wembley would give Liverpool huge confidence going into the new season.
