Rangers played out a 1-1 draw with Hamilton at the Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow in the Scottish Premiership.
The visiting team took the lead on the half-hour mark through Ali Crawford.
Martyn Waghorn equalised for Mark Warburton’s side just past the hour mark.
Former Celtic striker Sutton was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his opinion on the final result.
Good advert for the SPFL. Good subs by Warbuton but deserved point for Hamilton!— Chris Sutton (@chris_sutton73) August 6, 2016
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, hosts Rangers had 63% of the possession, took 20 shots of which just four were on target, and earned 10 corners.
Visitors Hamilton had 37% of the possession, took nine shots of which two were on target, and earned four corners.
Rangers’ performance against Hamilton was not great, but the fans should be optimistic about the season ahead.
The draw should not undermine the Gers’ chances of winning the Scottish Premiership title this season.
