Liverpool's Cameron Brannagan in action with Matt Ritchie
Wigan Athletic will sign Cameron Brannagan from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun (print edition, page 58, Friday, August 5, 2016).
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Wigan will recruit Brannagan on a season-long loan deal.
“Latics will pay a penalty if he does not play enough matches,” adds the report in The Sun (print edition, page 58, Friday, August 5, 2016).

Cary Caldwell’s side will take on Bristol City away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Brannagan is a talented young player who operates as a midfielder. The 20-year-old is very promising and has a lot of potential, and he would benefit from a loan spell.
Competition for places in Liverpool midfield is strong, and the youngster is unlikely to get much playing time this coming season if he remains at Anfield.

Wigan will feature in the Championship this season after winning promotion from League One at the end of 2015-16 campaign.
The Latics will be expected by many to fight for survival in the second tier of English football during the 2016-17 campaign.
Brannagan made three appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool last season, creating three chances in the process.
