Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he expects Christian Benteke to leave the club if the right offer comes in for the forward.

Benteke has fallen down the pecking order during Klopp's management and seems destined for the exit just a year after his £32.5 million move from Aston Villa. The Belgian hasn't featured at all during the Reds' pre-season games so far.

Klopp told reporters at a press conference, as reported by the Liverpool Echo (14:11): “Everyone knows about it. Christian has already said maybe it makes sense to go to another club.

“Christian is still a great striker. We have a few more strikers and I think it makes more sense to give them match time.

"But if there are clubs that want a real striker than they have to make real offers - otherwise we will find solutions."

He isn't the only player heading for the exit as the Liverpool Echo are reporting that midfielder Cameron Brannagan is close to joining Wigan Athletic for the season.

The Championship club are said to have agreed to a 75% clause, meaning they will be penalised if he doesn't play a specific ratio of matches.

Liverpool's Jon FlanaganLiverpool's Jon Flanagan

The Daily Mail are reporting that Jon Flanagan is set for a medical at Premier League new boys Burnley ahead of a season-long loan at Turf Moor.

Flanagan is said to have turned down an approach from Celtic, but manager Jurgen Klopp wants him to get some regular first team football.

One man who has had a loan spell away from the club confirmed by the Reds is Allan Rodrigues de Souza, who has joined Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin for the season.

The Liverpool Echo reported at the end of last month that the Brazilian was unable to obtain a work permit for the UK.

Also, Lloyd Jones appears to have completed a loan move to Swindon Town for the coming season with BBC Wiltshire Sport posting the news on their twitter page.
