Leeds United boss Garry Monk has told Sky Sports’ EFL Podcast that he’s uncertain over whether he would take sixth place this season, if it was offered to him now.

Leeds are known to be targeting a top six finish in Monk’s first season at Elland Road, with the club offering a part-refund to season ticket holders if they fail to make the play offs.

Ian Holloway, in his pre season predictions, had Leeds nicking the last play off place.

However, it seems that Monk would not be entirely satisfied with just making it into the promotion deciding fixtures.

“I don’t know, you always want more as a manager,” he said, after being asked whether he would take a sixth place finish if it was offered to him now. “That’s a good question!

“I don’t like to talk about predictions or assessments, I like to focus on every game.”

Leeds are currently considered outsiders to make it into the play offs, but they have made some impressive additions.

Leeds have made seven signings so far this summer, with more players expected to arrive before the end of the summer.
