The Spaniard joined the club on a permanent basis in the summer in an exciting signing for Blues fans after he had impressed on a loan spell in 2013/14.
He featured in 17 of their 19 games before the turn of the year, forming a deadly partnership with striker Romelu Lukaku.

From January onwards Roberto Martinez decided to drop him though, with Deulofeu making just seven appearances in the remaining 19 league games.
It was a decision that baffled the club’s fans, and Deulofeu has admitted himself that he is still unsure why he was dropped to the bench.
“I don’t know really why I played less,” he told the Daily Mail.
“That would be a question for the manager. I felt I was playing well and reaching a good level. After that, I was on the bench quite often.”

Deulofeu will now be hoping he can bounce back at the club under new manager Ronald Koeman.
He has featured in all of their pre-season games under the Dutchman so far, which appears to indicate that he is set to be a key man moving forward.
What will be interesting to see is where he plays, with him having featured up front in a new strikers role this summer.
