West Ham's Dimitri Payet reacts
The Frenchman was a star for the club last season and then thrived for his national team at the European Championships this summer.
He has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid – but does not appear to be on the move.

Speaking to talkSPORT yesterday (04/08/16) West Ham co-chairman David Gold made it clear that West Ham were no longer a selling club when quizzed about potential interest in Payet’s services:
“We did promise when we came to the club seven years ago, that the priority was to stop West Ham being a selling club.
“It’s been a selling club for as long as I can remember.
“As soon as we got really good players, they were sold.

“By in large I think that’s what we’ve achieved in those seven years.
“Fans are beginning to realise this is a serious challenge. We seriously want to win things.”
West Ham certainly have earned that reputation over the years – with the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Frank Lampard prime examples.

Payet’s good form last season certainly had Hammers fans worrying he could be gone as well – but they have stood firm in regards to his future.
West Ham have instead tried to be a buying club this summer, but have failed in various attempts to bring in big name striking options throughout the summer.
