Brighton and Hove Albion supporters have been having their say on Twitter regarding Alex Pritchard's failed move to the Seagulls, and subsequent switch to Norwich City, reported to be worth as much as £8 million according to the Mail.

The Tottenham midfielder signed for the Canaries on Thursday despite a move to Brighton looking like it was in the bag just a day earlier.

Two former Spurs men are in key roles at the Amex, with Chris Hughton manager and holding long term connections to the North Londoners both as a player and as a coach, and Seagulls' Chief Executive Paul Barber also spending five years as a Tottenham executive, but they were unable to get the deal over the line before Norwich swooped in.

It later emerged, as covered in the media by the likes of the Evening Standard, that despite a deal being agreed between Brighton and Spurs and the player, heavy traffic on the M25 slowed his trip to the South Coast, giving Norwich the chance to get in touch and instead convince the 23-year-old to move to Norfolk.

The talented playmaker never really got the chance to stake a claim for a place at Spurs, with an ankle injury last summer getting in the way what could have been a breakthrough season at White Hart Lane.

But Pritchard has already proven himself in the Championship during a loan spell at Brentford, and now it is Norwich that are set to benefit from his quality.
