In a promotional video for BT Sport, Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez attempted to recreate Charlie Adam's wonder striker against Chelsea in April 2015.

The Algerian's future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks, with reports of a potential transfer to Arsenal gathering momentum as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger refused to rule out a bid for the 25-year-old (The Daily Star).

The 2016 PFA Player of the Year winner showcased his talents for the new promotional video for BT Sport, and was allowed four attempts to try and replicate Adam's wonder strike.

The Stoke City man scored from all of 66 yards when he struck a powerful shot from within his own half which was hit with such venom that the helpless Thibaut Courtois in the Chelsea goal had no chance of preventing it from hitting the back of his net.

So, did Mahrez manage to emulate the Scotland international?

Two attempts was certainly a pretty good effort from the Leicester man, and the display of skill and talent should serve as an early warning to goalkeepers up and down the Premier League to always expect the unexpected where the Algerian is concerned.
