Unwanted Leicester City defender Liam Moore urged to join Leeds United by Whites fans

Elland Road

Leeds United fans want the out-of-favour Foxes defender to move to Elland Road.

Leicester's Liam Moore

Moore was regarded as one of the most promising young defenders to have emerged out of England in recent times after he played a crucial role in helping Leicester City earn promotion into the Premier League back in 2014.

Unfortunately though, the 22-year-old struggled to prove his worth in the English top flight and was limited to only 11 appearances during the 2014-15 Premier League campaign.

Last season proved to be even worse for Moore as he was not awarded a single appearance in the league by manager Claudio Ranieri and in his search of regular minutes on the pitch, the defender joined Championship outfit Bristol City during the second half of the campaign.

The loan move to Ashton Gate Stadium did not quite go according to plan and it seems like Moore does not feature in the plans of Ranieri for the upcoming season either.

In a huge indication that Leicester want to get rid of Moore, the defender revealed through social media website Twitter on Wednesday that he has not been provided a squad number by the Premier League champions as of yet.

He wrote on his personal account:

While Moore is clearly surplus to requirements at the King Power Stadium, a host of clubs across England would surely be interested in his services and Leeds United fans in particular, desperately want the former English Under-21 international to join their club.

The Leeds United faithful posted the following messages urging Moore to join the Elland Road based outfit in response to the defender’s tweet:
