UBS deal caused my heart attack!

This clearly was a big deal.

Huffington Post reports that Switzerland's former finance minister says he believes the stress of bailing out the country's biggest bank, UBS, caused him to suffer a heart attackHans-Rudolf Merz was finance minister from 2003 to 2010. He suffered the heart attack at the height of the financial crisis in 2008

According to Wikipedia, in 20 September 2008, whilst in Eastern Switzerland, Merz was rushed to hospital, having suffered from a heart attack. He was soon flown to Bern University Hospital, where he had a multiple bypass operation. He was also placed into an artificial coma.

Merz told Wednesday's edition of Swiss daily Neue Zuercher Zeitung that he was fit at the time and believes the heart attack resulted from 'momentary overloading due to the UBS rescue'.

Happily Merz made a full recovery - and so did UBS!
