Leeds United are considering a move for Aston Villa defender Joleon Lescott, The Telegraph report.
The centre-back has reportedly been told he can leave Villa Park by manager Roberto di Matteo, and the club are willing to let him leave on a free transfer.
Lescott had a miserable season at Villa last season, part of a relegated side which won only three games.

As one of the more experienced players in the squad he was one who copped plenty of flak as more was expected from him after his move from West Brom in 2015.
He then suffered PR gaffes where he was involved with public arguments with former Villa player Stan Collymore, and 'accidentally' tweeted a picture of his Aston Martin car after a heavy defeat, giving the impression he did not care about the abuse he was receiving.

A move away from Villa Park would be to his and the club's benefit, while for Leeds it could be a good move too given their need for an additional centre-back.
Lescott, 33, is a Premier League winner with Manchester City, and will be keen to prove a point, potentially benefitting from dropping down a division.
