Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton has told Sky Sports News, as broadcast on August 4th, that he wants one or two more new players to arrive at Ibrox before the end of the transfer window.

Rangers have already brought in nine new players this summer, but Warburton feels that there are other areas of his squad which need improving.

Warburton wants a couple more additions to put the finishing touches on his squad, but he insists that Rangers are in no rush.

“Ideally, we want one or two more,” Warburton said. “Just to get that strength in depth, but they have to add value. If we can do that - all well and good, but there’s no great rush. We’re happy with what we’ve got.”

Rangers have slightly adapted their transfer policy since they earned promotion to the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers got promoted with a young team, but Warburton has aimed to add experience this summer.

The likes of Niko Kranjcar and Joey Barton have both moved to Ibrox over the transfer window so far, with Warburton’s options now far stronger.

Rangers have made an impressive start to the new season, by winning their first four competitive matches.

The Gers’ first league game of the new campaign comes against Hamilton at Ibrox on Saturday.
