Leicester City are looking to make a move for Brazilian sensation Gabriel Barbosa, known as Gabigoal, HITC Sport understands.

Following Manchester City's signing of Gabriel Jesus, Gabigoal is one the most in-demand young players in world football.

The 19-year-old has been playing for Santos' first-team since he was 16 and has already clocked up over 150 first-team games scoring over 50 goals in the process.

He is already a Brazilian international with two goals in his first four caps, and he is currently part of their Olympic squad.

It was widely expected that he would be on his way to Italy with Juventus and Inter Milan leading the chase, but intermediaries have now touched base with a number of English clubs and now they are ready to take the lead in the push for his signature.

And HITC Sport has learned that Champions League-bound Leicester have already made some moves and are willing to pay £25million, but that is not going to be enough to get a deal done with Brazilians looking for £30million plus for their prized asset.

HITC Sport understands that a Santos delegation will arrive in England next week and will hold talks with Leicester - but it also also believed there will be rival interest.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Everton, West Ham United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all ready to engage in talks, with a view to landing one of the best young players in the world - but as it stands champions Leicester are leading the race.

Coming from Santos, he has long been tipped as the new Neymar, but he is more of a central striker and it is believed that unlike Gabriel Jesus - he will come straight to England, should a move be finalised.
