Everton transfer news: £15m Williams bid prepared; Toffees tracking Draxler; twist in Lukaku chase

Everton's Romelu Lukaku in action

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Everton

Wales' Ashley Williams attends a news conference

According to a report from Sky Sports, Everton are preparing to bid £15million for Swansea City centre-back Ashley Williams.

The Wales international was the subject of a failed £10million bid by the Toffees earlier this summer but Everton manager Ronald Koeman seems intent on getting his man.

Belgium's Romelu Lukaku misses a chance to score

In other news, the Daily Mail claims Everton will refuse any approach from Chelsea for star striker Romelu Lukaku after growing frustrated by the London club’s alleged attempts to unsettle the player.

Everton are said to be holding out for £75million for the Belgian international yet even at that price they will reportedly ignore any approach from Chelsea.

Germany's Julian Draxler scores the third goal

And finally, according to the Independent, Everton are interested in signing Wolfsburg midfielder Julian Draxler this summer in what would be one of the biggest stories of the transfer window.

The Toffees have plenty of money to spend and they are said to be targeting the German international after he voiced his desire to leave the Bundesliga side.

Potentially costing anything up to £60million though, it may take the sale of Lukaku or John Stones to turn this into a reality, and even then they will have to convince him to move to Merseyside with a whole host of clubs no doubt interested in his services.
