Leeds United's Scott Wootton scores an own goal and the first for Watford
Former Leeds United defender Scott Wootton found himself being linked with a move to Coventry City this morning.
It came after this apparent screengrab from the Coventry City website was circulating among Sky Blues fans on Twitter throughout the day:
Wootton, who is a free agent after being released by Leeds United this summer, therefore seemed to be Coventry-bound.
However, that is not the case.
It sums up a cruel few months for the former Manchester United youngster.

He became one of the most unpopular players at Leeds last season after a series of below-par performances.
Then it turned out that an apparent contract extension handed to him at Leeds had not been finalised and he therefore became a free agent this summer – coming as a shock to the player and fans.
Now it seems the only way he is currently finding a new club is via a hoax.
Hopefully his luck can change as he is a model professional who can surely do a job in the Championship or League One for the right club.
