Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane is looking forward to pulling on the Spurs shirt against this week, telling the Spurs website that he can't wait to be involved in the club's showcase friendly with Inter Milan in Oslo on Friday.
The England international has returned to preseason training in recent days, but he has his eyes firmly set on the Italian giants ahead of the new Premier League season.
"Some of us haven’t played too much football lately," Kane told the club website. "We’re looking forward to getting started with the game on Friday and getting back into the swing of things.
"I can’t wait to get out there and start playing again.”
England's Harry Kane
The Spurs star, as well as a number of other players, is set for his first appearance of preseason after being given an extended break following England's European Championships exit.
The 23-year-old had shouldered a great deal of responsibility for both club and country over the last 12 months. It wasn't much of a problem for Spurs - Kane finished as the Premier League's top scorer - but for his country, things didn't quite go according to plan, though not through any fault of Kane's.

Mauricio Pochettino obviously wanted his talisman back at White Hart Lane as rejuvenated and hungry as possible, and Kane's words certainly indicate an eagerness to get stuck into proceedings with the Premier League season starting in less than two weeks.
With Spurs set for Champions League football this season, Kane sees it as a good opportunity to come up against an established side as preparation.
"They are a great side and we’ll come up against a lot of great teams this season so it’s good to prepare ourselves against the best," he said.
"Inter Milan are definitely one team that are going to be difficult to play against so we want to go there and try to play our game, express ourselves and enjoy it."
