Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Swansea City are interesting in signing Atletico Madrid forward Borja Baston.

Swans manager Francesco Guidolin is believed to rate the 23-year-old highly, and reportedly thinks he would be the perfect addition to his side, according to the Spanish newspaper.

Despite being at Atletico since 2009, Borja has only made one senior appearance for the La Liga giants, and has spent the last five seasons with five different teams in Spain.

With the competition for places at the Vincente Calderon fiercer than ever, it is even more unlikely that he will be able to force his way into Diego Simeone's plans, so a move to Swansea would be beneficial for him and both clubs involved.

To further strengthen this point, Mundo Deportivo go on to report that Atletico are willing to offload a number of players in order to generate cash to balance the books after spending close to £70 million already this summer.
