Alex Pritchard of England during training
The 23-year old looked set to join Brighton after an £8 million fee and personal terms were agreed – as reported by Sky – but the Canaries have thrown a spanner in the works.
Sky report that Pritchard was due to undergo a medical with the South Coast club late last night but news of an approach from the relegated side halted proceedings.

It’s unclear which destination the Tottenham academy product prefers, with both clubs set to challenge for promotion this season, but a move either way looks imminent.
The England Under-21 international excelled in the Championship on loan at Brentford two seasons ago and was expected to fight for a first-team berth at White Hart Lane last term.

Injury scuppered his pre-season preparations with Mauricio Pochettino and he was never able to force himself into contention.
An unsuccessful loan spell at West Brom followed in the second half of the season and despite his clear potential, it appears Pritchard will not be joining the growing list of academy prospects to break into Tottenham’s first-team setup in recent years.
