According to the Chronicle, Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez still wants to make at least two more signings this summer.

The Magpies manager has ben busy this summer, bringing no fewer than seven new players to St James Park so far.

The latest to arrive was Ciaran Clark on Wednesday as he completed a move from Championship rivals Aston Villa.

He has been signed to add further competition to a defence that struggled last season and now it appears that Benitez has turned his attention to bringing in signings at the other end of the field.

According to the Chronicle, he wants to add another striker and a winger to his squad before the end of the transfer window.

With Mo Diame also joining in a move from Hull City that would take their number of incomings to ten this summer.

They also report that there is every chance they could surpass that tally though should the likes of Moussa Sissoko, Florian Thauvin and Cheick Tiote all secure exits.

It remains to be seen who they will target, with money seemingly no object to them as they seek to make an instant return to the Premier League.
