Nottingham Forest have added another new face to their side, as Olympiacos midfielder Pajtim Kasami has joined the club on a season-long loan deal.

New manager Philippe Montanier had already seen the likes of Stephen Henderson, Hildeberto Pereira, Damien Perquis, Thomas Lam, Armand Traore and Apostolos Vellios arrive this summer, and he's now managed to strengthen his midfield with the signing of Kasami.

Kasami, 24, may be familiar to some fans having played for Fulham in the Premier League, notching three goals in 55 appearances, with his superb volley against Crystal Palace in 2013 a particular highlight from his time at Craven Cottage.

The midfielder moved on to Olympiacos in 2014, and had hit nine goals in 67 games for the Greek giants before sealing his return to English football today.

A Swiss international with 12 caps for his country, Kasami arrives at the City Ground with an impressive pedigree, and the left-footed midfielder may now be included in the Forest squad for this weekend's opening game of the season against Burton Albion.

After Kasami's move was confirmed earlier today, Forest fans took to Twitter to give their views on the deal - and it's fair to say they're excited.

Some fans hope Kasami's arrival is a sign of how Montanier will be playing attacking football this season, and believe he adds real quality to Forest's midfield options.

Others think that Kasami is an ideal replacement for Andy Reid in midfield, and believe he could be a huge signing for the club ahead of the new season.

Here are some of the reactions from Forest fans on Twitter after Kasami's move to the City Ground.
