J.P. Morgan on Tuesday appointed Rossano Nonino as Chief Investment Officer for real estate in Brazil, the office for which is based in Sao Paulo.

Reuters reports that: "The turbulence in Brazil led to a 50% drop in real estate prices in local currency since the market peak, in 2011," said Joe Azelby, global real estate chief at the asset management business of JPMorgan.

In the meantime, the news agency also reports that TD Securities, the investment banking arm of Toronto-Dominion Bank, hired a former managing director at Wells Fargo to build its presence in financial institutions debt origination.

Edward Arden, who spearheaded the growth of Wells Fargo's FIG business after joining from UBS in 2009, joined TD Securities' as an MD in June in New York, the bank confirmed.
