Sunderland defender Lamine Kone has posted on Twitter that he has enjoyed the perfect preparation for the new campaign.
Sunderland have been on tour of France, and they managed to avoid defeat in all the matches that they played.
Kone clearly enjoyed his time away with the rest of his teammates, but Sunderland fans were not particularly interested in his message on Twitter yesterday.
Instead, the Black Cats supporters were quick to encourage Kone to sign a new deal.
The powerful defender only joined in January, but he is already a fans’ favourite at the Stadium of Light and there are some concerns over his future.
The Daily Mail suggest that Everton have made an £18 million for Kone, with Ronald Koeman determined to bring him to Goodison Park.
Sunderland have responded to these offers by handing Kone a new £70,000-a-week contract, but he is yet to put pen to paper.
And Sunderland fans appear to be doing everything within their power to try and encourage Kone to commit his future to the club.
