Shearer left Blackburn for Newcastle in 1996 for a British record fee of £15 million at the time, where he remained for the rest of his career.
He did not win a trophy with Newcastle despite his loyalty to them, and coming close on a couple of occasions, but scored prolifically, netting 379 club career goals in total.

Larsson enjoyed more silverware success with Celtic, four league titles and numerous cup successes, and played a brief part in Manchester United's 2006/07 Premier League title win.
He also won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2006, and scored a total of 434 career club goals.
