Aston Villa appear to have beaten Norwich City to the signing of Fulham striker Ross McCormack.

Chris Sutton has expressed his frustrations with the Norwich City board, as Ross McCormack appears set to sign for Aston Villa.
Norwich seemed to be on the verge of signing McCormack from Fulham, but they were gazumped at the last minute by Villa.
The Claret and Blues offered a bigger fee for the 29-year-old in the eleventh hour, and McCormack now seems set to move to Villa Park (BBC Sport).

The Scotland international is due to undergo a medical and will sign a four-year contract with Roberto Di Matteo’s side.
It leaves Villa’s strike force looking considerably stronger, while Norwich will be left to look for another forward.
And Sutton feels that Norwich’s board should have made sure they got McCormack, if he was on Alex Neil’s wishlist.
Even though Norwich are set to miss out on McCormack, the Carrow Road side do appear to be closing in on a deal to sign Alex Pritchard from Tottenham Hotspur (Sky Sports).
Norwich are due to take on Blackburn Rovers on the first day of the new season.
