Tottenham's Josh Onomah in action against Chelsea's Jordan Houghton (L)
Chelsea midfielder Jordan Houghton is poised to join Doncaster Rovers on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
A number of Football League clubs have been chasing Houghton this summer, but Doncaster Rovers have moved quickly to secure the England Under-20 international.
Houghton enjoyed two loan spells away from Chelsea last season spending the first half of last season on loan at Gillingham and then the second half at Plymouth Argyle.
The 20-year-old made 15 appearances for Gillingham before returning to Stamford Bridge in January and then going out on loan to Plymouth until the end of the season.

Chelsea feel Houghton would be best served by going out on loan again to get regular first-team under his belt to continue his development.
Doncaster boss Darren Ferguson is thought to be a big admirer of Houghton and sees him as a key addition to his plans as they look to secure promotion back to League One this season.
Houghton has agreed a deal to join Doncaster until January and he is set to go straight into the squad for this weekend's League Two opener against Accrington.
