The Frenchman is yet to score for the Scottish Premiership side since joining earlier this summer.
Celtic's Moussa Dembele
The 20-year-old is yet to find the back of the net in any of the pre-season, International Champions Cup and Champions League fixtures that Brendan Rodgers' side have played this summer.
And while he insisted that he is just as frustrated about the fact that he is yet to open his account for the club as supporters may be, he suggested that it is important not to panic.
"I understand that people are expecting from me personally and I understand what they are expecting from me," he told the Evening Times.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
"But they have to be patient and I have to be patient as well. I want things to come quickly and so do others, but it can be hard and I just want to produce good games for the team and, hopefully, everything will go well.
"It almost feels as though we are still in pre-season and we are getting fitness up game by game for the challenges which are coming. I feel as though I'm getting fitter and sharper with every game that I play."
Dembele certainly deserves more time before he is written off at Parkhead. He joined the Hoops following the end of his contract at Fulham so has not come in for a substantial fee, and his age and lack of top flight experience means that he still has plenty to learn before he is the finished article.
But with Leigh Griffiths alongside him, and with him playing in a side that is likely to be on the front foot in almost every game they play, there is no doubt that the youngster will have the chance to perfect his game over the coming season and perhaps prove that Rodgers was right to bring him to Celtic in the first place.
