Grant Ward has left Tottenham Hotspur to join Ipswich Town in the summer transfer window.

Grant Ward has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at signing for Ipswich Town.

The 21-year-old winger has left Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur to move to Championship outfit Ipswich.

As announced on Ipswich’s official website on Monday, the youngster has signed a three-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

Ward has taken to Twitter to express his delight at joining the Tractor Boys.

The 21-year-old winger has also sent a message to Tottenham on Twitter, thanking the club for playing a role in his development as a footballer.

Ward is a talented and promising young winger, but he could not make a single appearance in the Premier League for Tottenham.

During his time at the North London outfit, the youngster had loan spells at the Chicago Fire, Coventry City and Rotherham United.

The 21-year-old scored two goals and created 33 chances in 40 Championship appearances for Rotherham last season.

Ward had a pass accuracy of 70% and a shot accuracy of 40%, and won 18 headers, 46 dribbles and 48 tackles.
