A select round-up of the latest news relating to Everton

Everton have completed the signing of Idrissa Gueye from Aston Villa, with the 26-year-old putting pen to paper on a four-year deal.

The Senegal international becomes the second major signing at Everton this summer, following goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg’s arrival shortly after Ronald Koeman took charge.

New manager Ronald Koeman during the press conference

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Everton are interested in St Mirren winger Kyle McAllister this summer.

The 17-year-old is only just breaking through in Scotland, featuring five times for his current club last season, but big things are expected of him and the Toffees are allegedly looking to get in ahead of other interested parties from the Premier League.

Sporting Lisbon's Adrien Silva

In other news, Portuguese newspaper Record claims Everton are tracking Sporting Lisbon midfielder Adrien Silva.

Koeman is said to be keen to strengthen in the centre of the park and the 27-year-old has plenty of experience, having featured 196 times for Sporting to date, scoring 32 goals in the process.

The paper claims Everton could be willing to pay as much as £21million to get a deal over the line but that remains to be seen.

Sunderland's Lamine Kone in action with Watford's Troy Deeney

And finally, the Sun claims Everton are prepared to increase their bid for Sunderland centre-back Lamine Kone to £18million.

The Ivorian was superb for the Black Cats after arriving in January and his performances clearly caught the eye of Koeman.

The Toffees need additional defenders this summer and Kone fits the bill and it remains to be seen if Sunderland will turn down that sort of money.
