Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton suggested on The Monday Night Club show on BBC 5 live Sport on Monday evening (broadcast from 7pm, August 1, 2016) that Danny Drinkwater should join Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
Former Celtic and Chelsea striker Sutton has suggested that if the 26-year-old gets the chance to move to Spurs, then he should take it.
Leicester City's Danny Drinkwater
However, the Englishman believes that Premier League champions Leicester should try to get more than £20m for Drinkwater.
“If I was Drinkwater, I would go,” said Sutton on The Monday Night Club show on BBC 5 live Sport on Monday evening (broadcast from 7pm, August 1, 2016) when asked if Drinkwater should join Tottenham and if Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri should take £20m for him.
“Yes, I would, but I wouldn’t take £20m for him. No. I would take what I can. I would hold out. He is a Premier League winner.”
