West Ham United have struggled to land their primary transfer targets this summer.

West Ham fans are becoming increasingly frustrated as various potential transfer targets have rejected moves to the club.
Expectation levels have risen dramatically among the Hammers fan base following their impressive seventh place finish last term and the owners' rather public pursuit of some of the world's best strikers.

The summer transfer window has been a trying one for West Ham, however, as they have failed to get numerous deals over the line.
Gold has given the fans a timely boost though by taking to social media network Twitter to divulge information regarding potential incoming players at the club:

While Gold did not reveal the names of the potential signings, it is widely being reported that Argentine Jonathan Calleri is set to join the club, dependant on work permit approval (The Express).
It will take more than the arrival of Calleri, however, to appease the Hammers fans, and with under two weeks remaining until the start of the new season, Gold and co must ensure their business is both swift and efficient to allow manager Slaven Bilic to head into the new Premier League campaign with a fully settled side.
