It's been a transfer window of uncertainty but could Vardy's comments be the game changer in the Riyad Mahrez speculation?
First it was the pursuit of Jamie Vardy prior to Euro 2016, then the sale of N'Golo Kante to Chelsea, but questions have been raised as to whether Mahrez will follow his Leicester City teammate and remain at the King Power.
In an interview with Sky Sports News Vardy admitted it was an "easy" decision to reject Arsenal and hopes the PFA Player of the Year will follow suit.

Vardy and Mahrez formed an outstanding partnership on their way to securing Leicester's first title and manager Claudio Ranieri will be hoping to keep both of the attacking stars to make a strong defence of their crown from August 13th when they travel to Hull City.

Speculation about the future of Mahrez has been intense, with Arsenal reportedly interested in the 25-year-old playmaker and Vardy responded: "I think everyone in the squad would want him here, playing with us, but that's nothing to do with us and it's down to Riyad and the club to sort out."

No doubt if Vardy has confirmed his intention to stay, it will heap the pressure on Mahrez to stay loyal to the Foxes as well as confirming to the country that Leicester can hold on to their prized assets.
