Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Almen Abdi on Sunday evening.
Abdi featured in the pre-season friendly match for Wednesday against Port Vale at home.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder did not start the game at Hillsborough, but he came on as a substitute at the start of the second half.
It was the Switzerland international’s debut for the Championship club since joining them from Premier League outfit Watford last month.
Abdi gave a good account of himself for the Owls, scoring the third goal in their 3-0 win.
The 29-year-old has been signed by Wednesday in order to enhance the team’s attacking threat this season.
The former Udinese man scored two goals and created 32 chances in 32 Premier League games for Watford last season.
Abdi had a pass accuracy of 82% and a shot accuracy of 36%, and won 21 headers, 12 dribbles and 65 tackles.
