A host of English clubs are keeping tabs on highly-rated St Mirren winger Kyle McAllister, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Leicester City, Stoke City and Aston Villa are understood to be among the clubs chasing McAllister as they look to win the race for the talented attacker.

McAllister broke into the St Mirren side last season making four appearances for the club and he is regarded as one of the best young prospects in Scotland.

The skilful winger is a Scotland Under-17 international and scouts have been flocking to Love Street to cast an eye over the teenager since his emergence into the first-team.

St Mirren are understood to have recently rejected an approach from an unnamed club for McAllister as they battle to keep hold of the player, but they are bracing themselves for further interest in the youngster before the close of the transfer window.

McAllister's suitors are expected to test St Mirren's resolve to hang onto the player and the Scottish Championship side would find it hard to resist a sizeable offer for the wide man.
