Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Josh Onomah has revealed to FourFourTwo the advice he has been given by head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Onomah has been training with the Tottenham first team in pre-season and was part of the squad that recently went to Australia.
The 19-year-old midfielder has been quite impressive in pre-season so far and will be looking to earn a place in the squad for the upcoming 2016-17 campaign.
The England Under-19 international midfielder has revealed the advice he has been given by Pochettino.
“The gaffer just says keep on working hard, listen in and you never know what could happen,” Onomah told FourFourTwo. “When he says that to you, it gives you great confidence.
“He makes it seem like everyone’s a family and that’s what you need when it comes to winning games, do things together and you want everyone to be united.
“We’re a good team because of it, he’s just a great lad and it’s a happy place to be.”
Onomah featured in eight Premier League matches for Tottenham last season, creating one chance in the process.
The talented teenage midfielder had a pass accuracy of 73% and a shot accuracy of 67%, and won one dribble and four tackles.
The 19-year-old played seven times in the Europa League during the 2015-16 campaign.
Onomah created two chances, had a pass accuracy of 82% and a shot accuracy of 67%, and won two headers, three dribbles and five tackles.
Tottenham will be aiming to win the Premier League title this season and will also compete in the Champions League.
