Southampton are keen to tie down their best players.
Southampton are set to offer new deals to three of their most important first-team players, according to a report in the Daily Echo.
The club are looking to tie down both Soares and Tadic for the long-term, while Fonte is set to be given a pay rise to bring him in line with the club's top earners.
Soares is said to have impressed new manager Claude Puel during his heroics with the Portugal side at Euro 2016 while Fonte's importance to the side cannot be overstated given he has been with the side since they were in League One - and the club are said to not want him to feel undervalued.
If all three players sign new contracts with the club that will take the number of players to have agreed new deals to at least eight this summer.
Keeping hold of their solid and dependable players, especially ones that will have caught the eye on the international stage in Soares and Fonte, is going to be essential for the club moving forward. With European football this season, and along with the ambition of maintaining some sustained progress, it seems essential for there to be a solid base, while Tadic is a very talented player who has proved a thorn in many a side since his arrival at the club.
