They are likely hoping he can enjoy the same kind of goalscoring form he did last season when he was the Magpies top goalscorer with 11 goals in all competitions.
And the Dutchman has admitted that the minimum tally he should be targeting is ten goals for Klopp’s side next season.
“I am greedy to score and will do the same this season, look for chances to score,” he told the Mirror.
“I think a player with my quality has to at least get a minimum of 10 a season. That’s what I always said. Because I create so many chances I have to score at least ten – that’s the pressure I put on myself.”

It now remains to be seen if Wijnaldum can get that many goals in his first season at Liverpool.
He will be confident of doing so given the fact he managed to hit double figures in a side that was relegated last season.
Now that he is in a team with creative talent such as Philippe Coutinho he could flourish, and Klopp will be hoping he can give his side the goals from midfield that they are lacking.
