Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the dismissal of Kenny Jackett by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Jackett was dismissed from his managerial role at Wolves on Friday night, having been given the job back in May 2013.

Under the former Swansea City and Millwall boss, Wolves returned to the Championship from League One and did relatively well in the second tier of English football thereafter.

Wolves narrowly missed out on the Championship playoffs during the 2014-15 campaign, but they ended up outside the top 10 last season.

Former Italy international goalkeeper Walter Zenga has replaced Jackett as the Wolves manager.

Zenga is an experienced football manager, having been in charge of Red Star Belgrade, Palermo, Sampdoria and Al-Shaab among other clubs.

MacAnthony believes that Wolves should not have sacked Jackett, while well-known Football League pundit and former Celtic player Adam Virgo believes that Zenga is not the right manager for the club.
