Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a strong message regarding his comeback.
Karius has been ruled out of action for eight to 10 weeks with a broken hand, as reported by BBC Sport.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper suffered the injury during Liverpool’s pre-season friendly game against Premier League rivals Chelsea in the USA on Wednesday.
The former Germany Under-21 international has taken to Twitter to make it clear that he will do all he can to return to action sooner than he is expected to.
Karius joined Liverpool from German club Mainz 05 in the summer transfer window.
According to BBC Sport, the Merseyside outfit had to pay £4.7 million as transfer fee in order to secure the services of the goalkeeper.
The 23-year-old is expected to compete with Simon Mignolet for the goalkeeping spot in the Liverpool starting lineup, but he will now have to wait to make his competitive debut for the Reds.
Liverpool will be aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League during the 2016-17 campaign.
