Agüero, 28, has been at City since 2011, after he joined from Atletico Madrid for a fee in the region of £38 million. The mercurial Argentine has gone on to become one of the most prolific strikers in the history of the Premier League, scoring an incredible 102 goals in 150 league outings for the Citizens.

Another player set to prolong his stay in Manchester is midfielder Fernandinho.
Whilst he doesn't receive the plaudits that Agüero does, his performances for City have become nearly as important.
His discipline in sitting in the deep-lying midfield role and providing a shield of protection for his side's back-four is vital for how a team like City operate. He performs an entirely un-appreciated role, but he is one of the best in the business at doing it well.
According to The Daily Mail, the club are preparing an offer of fresh terms for the Brazilian, after new boss Pep Guardiola identified the 31-year-old as a key part of his plans.
