The Turkish international has been linked with a move to Spurs this summer.
The report claims that the Turkish giants believe they can nab the Mainz midfielder ahead of the Premier League side – especially as he is a Turkish international.
Malli is being considered as a potential option to strengthen Tottenham’s midfield position this summer.
It was recently reported by The Daily Mail that the Turkish international would be considered as a cheap alternative to Georginio Wijnaldum – who has since joined Liverpool from Newcastle United.

The 24-year-old, who notched 11 goals and four assists from midfield last season, has a release clause of €10 million (£8.4 million). That is a meagre price for a player with clearly a lot of talent.
Liga Insider however reports that this clause only runs until the 31st of July.
This was also reported by Kicker earlier in the month, giving Spurs and Fenerbahce until the end of the weekend to bring in the player at this price.
At this stage it would be fair to assume that Spurs will not be snapping him up at the cut-price bargain fee available to them, but it seems Fenerbahce are still pushing for such a deal.
