The Gunners had a disappointing season last year as they saw Leicester City run away with the Premier League title.
That was largely down to Arsenal’s inability to maintain their form, with their lack of consistency seeing them fall away in the title race despite having lead the table heading into 2016.

They naturally came in for criticism from fans and pundits alike, and Monreal has surprisingly admitted that they sometimes lack the hunger required to be successful as a side.
"We are a team that is ambitious, that wants to win, that has a real hunger to win but we can change from one day to the next into a team that lacks those qualities,” he told the Telegraph.
"We have to improve. We’ve got a lot that’s really good. We have quality players but at times we are a bit complacent and maybe do lack that hunger."

It now remains to be seen if Arsenal can change next season as they look to bounce back from the disappointment of last season.
The upcoming campaign looks to be a highly competitive one to say the least, with several new managers at the big clubs all looking to make their mark.
Arsenal will be determined to compete alongside them, and they will need to be more consistent than they were last season if that is to be the case.
