Cook started the pre-season friendly game for Bournemouth against Reading away from home at the Madejski Stadium.
The 19-year-old midfielder gave a good account of himself in the match, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The England Under-19 international put Premier League outfit Bournemouth in the lead in the 36th minute.
Cook picked the ball up inside the Reading half, shrugged off the defender, and coolly slotted it beyond Ali Al-Habsi.
The midfielder is a very promising and talented young player who moved to Bournemouth from Leeds in the summer transfer window.
Bournemouth had to pay the Championship club an initial transfer fee of £6 million to secure the services of the talented teenager, according to The Guardian. It was also reported that the fee could rise to nearer £10m with add-ons.
During his time at Elland Road, Cook established himself as one of the best teenage midfielders in the Championship.
Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Cook’s heroics for Bournemouth against Reading on Friday evening.

A big part of me is really happy for Cook! Deserves the big stage. It will hurt, but a talent like that shouldn't go to waste #lufc— Karun Jung (@JournoJung) July 29, 2016
