The Reds have been busy in the summer transfer window so far, with seven new faces arriving at the club so far.
Mane and Wijnaldum have both arrived with big price tags, with their deals coming in at over £50 million in combined transfer fees.
Georginio Wijnaldum celebrates after scoring the first goal for Newcastle
Some have questioned the expensive moves, especially considering Wijnaldum was relegated with Newcastle United last season.
But Sturridge isn’t concerned, saying that both have added something that they did not have last season.
“They come here and bring things we may not have had,” he told the club’s official website.
“Mane has got a lot of speed on the wings; we did have that before but he’s a different kind of player. He has got goals in him as well.”
“And the same with Wijnaldum – he is someone who can provide chances for players and score goals.”
Liverpool's Sadio Mane in action
It now remains to be seen if both players do prove to be smart signings for Liverpool next season.
The pressure is on the Reds somewhat, with many expecting them to challenge for a top four place or more now that Jurgen Klopp has worked with the squad this summer.
If they are to do that then they will need their summer signings to be successful ones, and given the price tags for Mane and Wijnaldum, the pressure is on them more than the others.
