Leeds United take on Atalanta in a pre-season friendly at Elland Road this afternoon.

Leeds United starting line-up: Green; Perico, Bartley, Bamba, Taylor; Diagouraga, Vieira, Mowatt; Dallas, Roofe, Wood.

Leeds United substitutes: Silvestri, Turnbull, Coyle, Berardi, P McKay, Denton, Phillips, Grimes, Murphy, Sacko, Botaka, Doukara, Antonsson.

Leeds United end their pre-season schedule this afternoon as they host Italian side Atalanta at Elland Road ahead of next week's Championship kick-off.

The Whites, who lost 2-1 at Peterborough United last weekend, will be hoping to end pre-season with a victory, but face a tough challenge against a side who finished 13th in Serie A last season.

Garry Monk's first game in charge at Elland Road sees a new face start in defence, as trialist Gabriele Perico will feature at right back.

The 32-year-old, who left Cesena at the end of last season, worked with Leeds owner Massimo Cellino at Cagliari, and will be hoping to win a contract from his performance today.

Summer signings Robert Green, Kyle Bartley and Kemar Roofe all start for Leeds in what appears to be a 4-3-3 system, with Chris Wood leading the line.

Youngster Ronaldo Vieira starts in midfield alongside Toumani Diagouraga, with Luke Murphy and Kalvin Phillips having to make do with places on the bench.

Also on the bench are three summer signings, with Matt Grimes, Hadi Sacko and Marcus Antonsson all available as substitutes alongside the likes of Marco Silvestri, Gaetano Berardi and Jordan Botaka.
