According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are considering a move for Liverpool flop Lazar Markovic.

The winger is expected to leave Anfield this summer after a disastrous two years with the club.

He spent last season on loan at Fenerbache after a disappointing first season on Merseyside the year before and has reportedly been told by Jurgen Klopp to find himself a new club this summer.

And according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are now targeting a move to take him to Italy.

They lost Miralem Pjanic to Juventus this summer and are keen to add another attacking midfielder to their ranks as a result.

That has led to them identifying Markovic as a possible target and they could make a move before the end of the transfer window in three weeks time.

The report does not name if they will be make an offer to take the Serbian permanently or will seek out a loan move instead.

They are likely to face disappointment if it is the latter, with a report from Sapo Deportivo claiming the Reds were only interested in a permanent sale.
