Rob Holding, who joined Arsenal from Bolton Wanderers earlier this month, featured against the MLS All-Stars.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that Rob Holding is a player who anticipates well.
Wenger made the comments about the 20-year-old defender following the Gunners’ 2-1 victory over the MLS All-Stars.
Holding started the pre-season friendly match at the Avaya Stadium and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Joel Campbell put the Premier League outfit in the lead in the 11th minute, but former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba equalised for the MLS All-Stars on the stroke of half time.
Chuba Akpom scored the winner for Arsenal just three minutes before the full-time whistle.
Wenger was seemingly impressed with the performance of Holding against the MLS All-Stars and spoke highly of the youngster.

Holding joined Arsenal from Bolton Wanderers earlier this month. The 20-year-old defender is highly rated and is very promising, and it seems that he has already started to impress Arsenal manager Wenger.
The youngster scored one goal and created four chances in 26 Championship appearances for Bolton last season.
Holding had a pass accuracy of 68% and a shot accuracy of 36%, and won 64 headers, 21 dribbles and 23 tackles.
